This privacy policy sets out how Marisco Patient Group (otherwise known as MPG) uses and protects any information that you give MPG when you use this website.

MPG is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

MPG may change this policy from time to time by updating this page. You should check this page from time to time to ensure that you are happy with any changes. This policy is effective from 1st May 2018.

What we collect

If you choose to sign up for regular newsletters we will collect the following information:

  • Name

  • Email address

  • Mobile number (optional)

If you decide you would also like to volunteer or become a member of the Patient Group, we will then also need your home address purely for the purpose of verifying your details as a patient of the Marisco Practice.

 

What we do with the information we gather

We require this information to be able to keep you up to date with news about what is happening within the Surgery and to verify that you are eligible for membership of the MPG, to understand your needs and provide you with a better service, and in particular for the following reasons:

  • If you choose to opt in, we will periodically send promotional emails about new services or other information which we think you may find interesting using the email address which you have provided.

  • If you choose to opt in we will send you copies of meeting minutes and newsletters, if you have consented to receiving these

 

We will need to use your information (name and address only) to obtain verification from Marisco Medical Practice to confirm that you are a patient and are eligible to belong to the patient group.

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

How we use cookies
